For most PCB boards are green

The green color is a solder resist ink. The main components are resin, talcum powder, and pigment, as well as other colors such as red, yellow, black, etc. Green is the most widely used.

The answer to this question (why are most of the boards green?) is as follows:

Viewpoint 1. Generally speaking, the board-level products of the whole electronics have to go through the process of making plates and posting. In the process of making plates, there are several processes that go through the yellow room,
and the green in the yellow room is better. But this is not the main thing.

These processes are all optically calibrated and calibrated. The green background color is better for the instrument.

Viewpoint 2, common red, yellow, green, blue and black, due to the problem of the process, many lines of inspection still rely on workers to see with the eyes (of course, most of them now use flying needle test). Looking at the board with glare and eyes,
this is a very tiring job. Green is the least harmful to the eyes, so most of them use green.

Viewpoints 3, blue, and black are due to the incorporation of cobalt and carbon, respectively, and have a certain conductivity,
so there is a risk of short circuit. The green PCB is environmentally friendly and does not release toxic gases when used in high-temperature environments.

Viewpoint 4. About from 2007, people began to pay attention to the color of the PCB board,
mainly because the high-end form of the first-line manufacturers such as Asus and MSI have adopted the black PCB color design,
so people slowly think of PCB. The color is black and it must be high-end. After that,
more and more manufacturers began to use a black PCB coating – it can be said that a strange reason caused such a strange phenomenon. No one has ever said that the color of the PCB is black, which means that the quality of the motherboard is good.
This is entirely due to the product misleading caused by the first-line brand using black to identify the product positioning.

It is true that the black PCB is indeed able to demonstrate its own technical strength,
because the black PCB is the easiest to see the trace, so no matter the design or after-sales will suffer unprecedented cost pressure,
and the technical strength of the board manufacturers use black PCB The color tone is not because the black color can
improve the performance of the motherboard. From the perspective of rational analysis,
it is also known that the color alone cannot improve the performance of the board.
