Aluminium clad pcb

This layer of aluminium provides a number of benefits, including improved heat dissipation, increased mechanical strength, and improved electromagnetic shielding.

Aluminium clad PCBs are commonly used in high-power applications where heat dissipation is critical,

such as in LED lighting, power supplies, and motor control circuits.

The aluminium layer is typically bonded to the PCB using a thermally conductive adhesive,

and the circuit traces are etched onto the surface of the board using standard PCB manufacturing techniques.

Types of aluminum clad board

There are several types of aluminum clad boards, including:

1. Single-sided aluminum clad board: This type of board has a layer of aluminum on one side and a layer of copper on the other side. It is commonly used in LED lighting and power supply applications.

2. Double-sided aluminum clad board: This type of board has a layer of aluminum on both sides and a layer of copper in between. It is commonly used in high-power applications where heat dissipation is critical.

3. Multilayer aluminum clad board: This type of board has multiple layers of aluminum and copper, and is used in complex circuits that require high thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding.

4. High-frequency aluminum clad board: This type of board is designed for high-frequency circuits and has a special type of aluminum layer that provides improved electromagnetic shielding.

5. Flexible aluminum clad board: This type of board is made of a flexible substrate material,

such as polyimide, with a layer of aluminum on one or both sides.

It is commonly used in applications where flexibility is required, such as in wearable electronics.
