Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is a High TG PCB?
A High TG PCB is built on laminate with a glass transition temperature (Tg) significantly above standard FR-4 — typically 170°C, 180°C or higher. This improves thermal stability during lead-free soldering, rework and high-temperature operation.
2. Which High TG materials do you have in stock?
We stock ShengYi SH260 (polyimide, Tg >250°C) and ISOLA 370HR / IS410 / IS420 (high-Tg FR-4, Tg 170°C–180°C). Material availability depends on thickness and build volume — confirm with sales for your exact stack-up.
3. What is the difference between High TG and standard FR-4?
Standard FR-4 typically has a Tg around 130–140°C. High-Tg laminates raise this to 170°C or above, offering better thermal decomposition resistance, lower CTE and improved reliability in lead-free and thermally stressed applications.
4. Can you build High TG boards with HDI and impedance control?
Yes. ISOLA 370HR is specifically suited to HDI and sequential lamination, and we provide controlled-impedance stacks with engineering review for all high-Tg builds.
5. What is the lead time and minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Lead time depends on the material, layer count and order volume. We support prototype lots with no hard MOQ and scale to volume production. Contact our sales team with your Gerber and stack-up for an exact quote and schedule.
