How to display and hide the PCB package name of the schematic library

Here we analyze two situations. One is how to display and hide the component package name when drawing the schematic library; the other is how to display and hide the component package name when drawing the schematic.

① The steps to hide PCB package when drawing schematic library are as follows;

Step 1, open the library file of the PCB package name to be hidden, click the menu Options→Part Properties to edit the properties;

Step 2, click New… on the right side of the pop-up property box to create a new property, fill in PCB Footprint for Name, and fill in the corresponding package name for Value, as shown in Figure 2-50;

Step 3, select the newly added PCB Footprint property, click Display… on the right side, set the display parameters, and you can display or hide the PCB package name. Do Not Display means that none of them are displayed; Value Only means that only the Value value, that is, the package name, is displayed; Name and Value means that both are displayed, as shown in Figure 2-51:

② The steps to hide PCB package in schematic are as follows;

Step 1, open the schematic page, click the left mouse button to select the component to hide the PCB package, and right-click the mouse to execute the command Edit Properties… to edit the properties;

Step 2, switch the component properties to the Parts property bar, and select PCB for the corresponding properties Select the Footprint column with the left mouse button, right-click and select Display… to set the display parameters;

Step 3: Set the display parameters in the pop-up dialog box, as shown in Figure 2-52. Do Not Display means that none of them are displayed; Value Only means that only the Value value, that is, the package name, is displayed; Name and Value means that both are displayed.
