Methods to judge the quality of PCB circuit boards

After the PCB design is completed, it needs to be output to the board factory for processing, production, patching, and assembly.

Faced with the fierce market competition trend, the cost of PCB circuit board materials is also on the rise.

More and more manufacturers are monopolizing the market with low prices in order to enhance their core competitiveness. However, behind these ultra-low prices, the material cost and process manufacturing cost are reduced, but the devices are usually prone to cracks (cracks), scratches, (or abrasions), and their precision, performance and other comprehensive factors are not up to standard, which seriously affects the solderability and reliability of the products used.

Faced with a variety of PCB circuit boards on the market, there are two ways to distinguish the quality of PCB circuit boards; the first method is to judge from the appearance, and the other is to judge from the quality specification requirements of the PCB board itself.

Methods to judge the quality of PCB circuit boards:

First: distinguish the quality of the circuit board from the appearance. Generally speaking, the appearance of the PCB circuit board can be analyzed and judged from three aspects;

  1. Light and color. The external circuit boards are covered with ink, and the circuit boards can play an insulating role. If the color of the board is not bright, there is less ink, and the insulation board itself is not good.
  2. Standard rules for size and thickness. The thickness of the circuit board to the standard circuit board is different in size. Customers can measure and check according to the thickness and specifications of their own products.
  3. Appearance of welds. Because the circuit board has many parts, if the welding is not good, the parts are easy to fall off the circuit board, which seriously affects the welding quality of the circuit board. Good appearance, careful identification, and a strong interface are very important.

Second: High-quality PCB circuit boards need to meet the following requirements

  1. The copper surface is not easy to oxidize, which affects the installation speed. After oxidation, it will break down soon;
  2. The telephone should be easy to use after the components are installed, that is, the electrical connection should meet the requirements;
  3. The copper skin is not easy to fall off under high temperature;
  4. The line width, line thickness, and line spacing of the line meet the requirements to avoid line heating, circuit breaking, and short circuit;
  5. There is no additional electromagnetic radiation;
  6. High temperature, high humidity and resistance to special environments should also be considered; 7. The appearance is not deformed to avoid deformation of the shell after installation and misalignment of the screw holes. Now it is all mechanized installation, and the hole position and line of the circuit board should be within the allowable range;
  7. The mechanical properties of the surface must meet the installation requirements;
    The above is the method to judge the quality of PCB circuit boards. When purchasing PCB circuit boards, be cautious.
